Runa Farm Wedding
Three dates and two venues later (thank you Covid) we finally celebrated the intimate and non-traditional wedding of Nick and Ashleigh at Runa Farm in County Durham. I absolutely loved the layout of their day: Ceremony then relaxed BBQ, then dancing, then sit down meal for the evening. Runa Farm provided the perfect setting with it’s rustic features, beautiful light barn space and quirky boho decorations. As a North East Wedding Photographer I was instantly in love!
The getting ready space was divine; quirky with high ceilings and gorgeous textured walls. It made for some beautiful photos before their wedding ceremony. The dinner space was bright and rustic and suited to either a large or intimate wedding, and the ceremony hall was atmospheric, boho and exquisitely decorated.

The outside space was diverse, with a stunning inner courtyard complete with flower feature wall (which made the perfect backdrop for the group photos). There is also a beautiful hay bale wall outside the main silo entrance, and plenty of gorgeous wild fields perfect for catching the last of the evening sun.
The whole day ran so smoothly, the staff were professional and flexible, thorough and thoughtful, and the food was incredible. Every inch of this venue has been tailor made for a perfect wedding day, you can see the attention to detail at every turn. I think that is the difference between a converted wedding venue and a custom-made one; you can tell that the practical needs of a wedding day, and the photos, have been thought-through in the design.
