How to Plan the Perfect Creative Wedding?
Becasue being a Creative wedding photographer is my forte, and over the years I have seen so many amazing wedding decoration and styling ideas, and met the amazing brides behind the ideas (lets face it, the bride usually ends up being the one in charge of decorations and styling for a wedding, it’s just the natural order of things!) so I would love to share some of the stories and inspiration with you.
Planning a creative wedding has got to be one of the most exciting projects. I am sure, as a creative person, you have a strong eye for detail and design, so I can’t wait to see all the beautiful ideas you come up with!

1) Tradition is Tired… So Why Not Break It With a Creative Wedding Photographer?
So many brides and groom feel pressure to make their wedding day look a certain way, or work within a set formula.
There can be pressure from family, wedding suppliers and social pressure from friends and social media comparison.
Let me first of all reassure you, I am definitely NOT one of those wedding suppliers. For my own wedding I broke just about every wedding tradition there is, including have a ‘bring and share’ buffet for our wedding breakfast!
If you are looking for creative wedding photography, and a photographer who will not only understand your desire to break with tradition, but actively cheer you on from the side lines then you are in the right place! At the end of the day, this wedding day is about you and your love.
This is a celebration of something so personal to you, so I believe that everything about the wedding day should be a reflection of that uniqueness.
This is not about anyone else but you. so start by removing any preconceived expectations from your mind. If YOU did a wedding, what would that wedding look like? That is the only question you need to ask, and the only standard to pursue.

How I Work
Every creative wedding photographer works differently, even those of advertise natural coverage. It is really important to note that when I say I work in a hands off way, I really mean it. I am terrible at posing and organising people, I’m not good at it and I don’t like doing it.
I am exceptionally good at quietly blending into the background and spotting the perfect natural moments as they happen to get the best creative wedding photography.
I have a particular love of capturing pictures of fun and laughter. For this reason I am often walking around at a wedding day listening to the punch line of everyone’s jokes. I sometimes think I should advertise myself as a professional eaves-dropper!
I just find that natural pictures are always the most beautiful. The ones with movement and emotion.
But don’t worry, one of the many benefits of being a female photographer is that I am acutely aware of what is flattering and what is not!
If you belly laugh with a double chin (my golden tip is to laugh forward not backward to avoid the dreaded double chin!) it won’t make it into your final collection. I want you to feel as beautiful in your wedding photos as you felt on the day.
So, although I don’t photoshop you beyond what is natural, and love to captures more than just your usual “photo face”, I trust you will still feel beautiful so you can totally relaxed and enjoy the day, trusting that I have your best interests at heart.

Honestly, every time I get a new invitation to capture someone’s creative wedding, I am bouncing off the walls! Booking me is a really easy process. I know that planning a wedding is difficult enough without lengthy booking processes and complicated conditions. With me, we don’t even need to meet!
Having photographed all over Europe (including being a Mallorca Wedding Photographer!) and beyond for the many years I am very used to meeting my clients on the day and working to make sure they are instantly put at ease. Many describe our first meeting as like being reunited with a long-lost friend!
I have also become very astute at spotting, from your first email whether we are a good fit for each other. I often find I can sense a person’s energy and values just from the way they phrase that first email, so I usually have a strong gut reaction that says, “Yes! This bride is perfect!”
